We would like to extend a warm welcome to you on behalf of our hospital. Swenson Veterinary Hospital is one of the longest-established veterinary practices in the city of Columbus. Originally opened on this same location in 1958 as Headlee Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Dennis Swenson joined the practice in 1969. Dr. William Goode became a partner in 1988. We have kept the same simple philosophy for nearly half a century now, and we believe it shows through in our everyday practice. We want happy, healthy pets AND owners.
Our goal is to provide you with the very best and most affordable service.
We remodeled in 1996, tripling the size of our facility and making it more accommodating for our patients. We strive for a clean, odor-free atmosphere that makes going to the vet a positive experience. We are especially proud that our location sits back off the road and has an acre of grass for walking your pet before or after visits.
We believe there are many ways we show we care "just a little more'. We go the extra mile to help in whatever way we can, be it through locating lost pets, finding new animal family members, or just empathizing during an emotional time. We know how busy you are, so we will send you a reminder when your pet is due for a procedure or annual vaccinations. If you are unable to stay for your pet's appointment, drop-off services can be arranged.
We become extremely attached to our patients, and enjoy being a part of their lives from puppyhood to "senior citizen" status. To insure they get the best care when they need it most, we offer discounts on puppy visits and our Senior Wellness Program, which keeps a little closer watch on our pets as they get older.
